Eagles of The Cottages

2021 Update: Sadly, the eagles are no longer nesting along Hurricane 12. They visit frequently but apparently have a new nesting site close to Spring Creek.

2020 Update: nesting was not successful for our eagles. They made several attempts to nest but no eaglets were hatched.  We do not know why this pair were not able to produce offspring this year, and will pass on any information we learn from the official monitors.

 The Cottages was extremely fortunate to have a pair of nesting eagles as regular members of our neighborhood! The eagles are monitored by Bonita Springs officials to ensure their safety and viability. They have been extensively filmed by James Unland. (see below) We ask that visitors respect these magnificent birds and view them from afar.
